BLACKBURN LEISURE A  1   KINGBURN ATHLETIC  4

Blackburn Leisure A  entertained near neighbours Kingburn Athletic in a top three clash at Brough. The spoils went the way of the visitors and in doing so they ended the hopes of Blackies of clinching second place. Kingburn opened the scoring midway through the first half when Anthony Owen netted from close range and they led by this goal at the break. The home side equalised early in the second half from the penalty spot but Kingburn soon restored their lead and it also came from the spot by Matt Barker. They double their advantage when a teasing cross from Luke Sherwood was turned into his own net by a Blackies defender. Top scorer Rich Wood added the icing to the cake with a fourth as they endured they finish in the top two.
