Recap

Two sides making their debuts in the Veterans League met at Orchard Park as AAK entertained Molescroft Rangers B. The home side started the better of the two sides but Molescroft were able to defend the pressure well. Both sides were creating chances but were unable to take advantage and the game appeared to be heading towards a goal less first half but then AAK scored when Allan Hider as he was heading towards goal was brought down in the area and from the resulting penalty Rich Clubley put AAK ahead. The second hal remained even but Molescroft equalised fifteen minutes in when Paul Beaulah scored from close range. At this point the game could have gone either way but it was the home side who grabbed what turned out to be the winning goal when Clubley coolly scored his second of the game when he took advantage of a defensive error and rounded the keeper to secure the points with fifteen minutes to go and AAK held on to record their first ever win.
