Recap

Northern Wanderers made it back to back wins as they beat league leaders Easington United at a bleak Noddle Hill Way. After struggling earlier in the season they appear to have found their feet and have now moved up into mid table. For Easington they have done the opposite for after winning their first four games they have now suffered back to back losses and have been overtaken at the top of the table by Holme Rovers. Northern took the lead through Sam McKee but Easington were soon level through Terry Thompson. and it remained 1-1 at half time. Northern regained the lead when they were awarded a penalty and McKee converted from the spot. The home were now on the front foot and they doubled their lead when Chris Jopling scored and they rounded off things when McKee completed a fine hat trick leaving the final score 4-1.
