The second half saw Gilberdyke continue to dominate and they added further goals from Luke Gooding and Simon Clark. The visitors relaxed which allowed AAK to pull a goal back through Mike Burton but Gilberdyke responded immediately with a sixth from before from the resulting kick off Burton saw the Phoenix keeper off his line and his effort sailed past him into the net for 2-6 before Gooding got his second of the game to round off the scoring as Phoenix maintained their 100% start to the season.
