SPRINGHEAD SPARTANS  1  AFC WILLERBY B  1

There was a tasty affair at Harness Park as the two former Springhead Highway A and B teams from last season met under their new names. There were some crunching challenges early on but then the game settled down a little . Springhead opened the scoring when Tom Dawes scored after a corner but by the break Willerby had levelled matters up when they also scored from a corner via leading scorer Nathan Nuttall. The second half saw Willerby possibly have the better of the chances but there were no further goals and honours were even which seemed to be the right result.
