LORD NELSON  3   RECKITTS  1

At Sir Henry Cooper Park Lord Nelson and Reckitt met for the first time ever in the Veterans League and it was the home side who deservedly came out on top. They led 1-0 after Jamie Marshall finished off a superb pass from Colin Naulls with a header and it was 1-0 at the break. Nelson added a second when Dan Fryer lobbed the keeper before Liam Beardshaw halved the arrears but any hope of Reckitts getting anything from the game were dashed when Nelson added a third when Marshall got his second of the game as they saw out the game and moved up to second in the table leapfrogging Reckitts in doing so.
