Recap

Kingburn Athletic began the new campaign with a home game against last seasons Division Three champions Springhead Highway A at South Hunsley.  An even first half saw the scoreline blank at half time but the game burst into life in the second period. Rob Edwards finished a counter attack to put Springhead in front but their lead didn`t last long as Kingburn were soon level after Mark Lucid scored from a tight angle. The home side went in front when Richard Wood took down a cross and slotted home. Simon Ward soon made it 3-1 and the victory was confirmed when Wood got his second of the game.
