AFC WILLERBY B  3  SPRINGHEAD SPARTANS  3

Wolfreton College was the venue for the Springhead Highway derby as AFC Willerby B hosted Springhead Spartans. For the second time this season it finished all square in a highly competitive game. Willerby opened the scoring through Nathan Nuttall on ten minutes but Spartans were soon back on level terms via Simon Start and it was 1-1 at half time. The second half saw Nuttall put the home side ahead early on with his second but just like in the first half Spartans were quick to level things up through Tom Dawes and then they went ahead for the first time twenty minutes from time when Brendan Nixon scored. This time it was Willerby who had to fight back and to their credit they did just that when a 30 yard strike into the top corner from Shaun Brennan made it 3-3 and the spoils were shared.
