RECKITTS  4  KINGSWOOD UNITED  0

Reckitts hosted Kingswood United at Hull University looking for the points to keep on the tail of leaders Waterloo who were not in action today. Andy Brindle with a twenty five yard strike put the home side ahead before Lee Geraghty double their lead. An own goal followed leaving Reckitts 3-0 ahead at half time and they were only able to add one more in the second half but what a goal it was, a superb individual effort from Geraghty who beat several defenders in side the area before finishing sublimely. Special mention for Kingswood in their last game of the season who showed great spirit and a shout out for their keeper John Grindley who had a fine game.

ST PETERS  4   LORD NELSON  5

Plenty of goals at Gorton Road as St Peters and Lord Nelson produced an entertaining end to end encounter which Nelson won by the odd goal in nine.

DIVISION FOUR

BILTON  2  GILBERDYKE PHOENIX  7

Bilton entertained promotion contenders Gilberdyke Phoenix but found the visitors too strong. Phoenix started well but missed some early chances before Will Butterill headed home. Liam Bell made it 2-0 after a good move down the left hand side  before a defensive mix up allowed Bilton to halve the deficit. Three more goals for Phoenix before half time from Dave McMahon, Andy Whitaker and as second from Bell made it 5-1 before Bilton got a second just before the break. Phoenix continued to dominate proceedings but only added two more from Bell who completed a fine hat trick and a Matty Smith header to make the final score 7-2.

BRIGG TOWN  6  BRANDESBURTON  1

Brigg Town faced Brandesburton at the EC Surfacing Stadium looking to bounce back from losing the semi final last Sunday. It took them thirty minutes to break the resistance of the Brandesburton defence when Will Hartley scored and two goals in the five minutes before the interval from Stu Longbone and a second from Hartley saw them 3-0 up. Early in the second half the visitors pulled a goal back but three further unanswered goals from Dave Betts, Matty Holmes and a third for Hartley rounded off the scoring.

HOLME ROVERS  3  BLACKBURN LEISURE B  3

Blackburn Leisure travelled across to Holme Rovers with twelve players including six from their Over 50`s squad knowing they were in for a difficult afternoon. However they battled away and ended the first half 0-0. In the second half Darren Moore scored twice to put Blackies in front. Holme responded with two quick goals of their own to level things up before Moore completed his hat trick from the penalty spot. A late equaliser from the hosts meant the game ended 3-3 for the second time this season.

NORTH FERRIBY SPORTING  2  AFC NORTH  9

A depleted North Ferriby outfit entertained AFC North at South Hunsley in a double header and they found the going very tough going down 9-2. it was 3-0 at half time and the title challengers showed no mercy in the second half as they added six more and improved their goal difference.

DIVISION FIVE

AAK S+S B  1  HESSLE RANGERS  2

AAK S+S B met Hessle Rangers at Bishop Burton College for the second successive week but they were unable to repeat last Sunday`s success. Hessle took the lead in the first half but by half time AAK had levelled through Mark Wake. Hessle got what turned out to be the winner twenty minutes from time to get some sort of revenge for their semi final defeat last week.

DRUM  2   MOLESCROFT RANGERS A  2

It was a clash of the top two at Costello as Drum took on second placed Molescroft Rangers in a potentially title deciding game. In a tight first half Danny Barr put the visitors ahead and they lead 1-0 at half time. They doubled their advantage in the second period through a  brilliant solo effort from Adam Leach and the long unbeaten record of Drum was in serious danger. However they are not top for without the ability to respond to adversity and they pulled a goal back from a corner from Tommy Leach before a penalty two minutes from time converted by Gary Dickinson saw them draw level and for the second time this season the game between the sides ended in a draw.

SPARTANS  2  NORTHERN WANDERERS B  1

Spartans met Northern Wanderers B for the second week in a row this time at Hull University and they won again but not as comfortably as last week. It was 6-3 to Spartans seven days ago but today it was much closer even though when they fell 2-0 down it looked like another easy win for Spartans. Steve Sharpe pulled a goal back before half time and though they had several good chances to level things up in the second half they were unable to grab what would have been a deserved equaliser.

DIVISION SIX

EASINGTON UNITED  4   AFC WILLERBY D  2

Easington United welcomed AFC Willerby D to Low Farm in the Spring sunshine. Easington led 1-0 at the break after opening the scoring on the half hour. Ten minutes into the second half they doubled their lead but not long afterwards Willerby halved the deficit through Rich Porter. Easington restored their two goal advantage with twenty minutes remaining but again the visitors reduced the arrears via Andy Brown.  A decisive fourth goal for the hosts sealed the points with a couple of minutes remaining. Gavin Thirkettle and Andy Graham both scored twice for Easington.

HEDON RANGERS B  3  PRIORY  1

Hedon Rangers B faced Priory at South Holderness College looking to complete the double after winning 5-2 at Pride Park earlier in the campaign. They duly did so courtesy of a 3-1 win. Dean Brown, Dan Farazer and Mark Wilson scored for Hedon whilst Dean Bulfield got the Priory goal.
