Recap

Cottingham were looking to repeat their home win over South Cave last year when they met at Hull University but they were given a shock by their well organised visiting side. Cave led 1-0 at half time through a Rob Mooney goal. Two further second half goals gave them an in the end comfortable 3-0 win and a great start to the season, Richard Silk and Dave Lloyd with their second and third goals of the afternoon.
