BRIGG TOWN  5  BLACKBURN LEISURE  2

Brigg Town who won the inaugural Over 50`s cup last season entertained Blackburn Leisure for a place in this seasons final. With both sides missing several regulars it was always going to be a close affair and that was the case until the last fifteen minutes. Brigg led 1-0 at half time but Blackies equalised early in the second half before Brigg regained the lead. Once again the visitors replied this time from the penalty spot. As the game moved into the closing stages Brigg scored three times in quick succession to book a return visit to Brough. Their scorers were Paul Boath 3, Simon Munday and Russ Baker.
