Recap

The Veterans League top scorers Hornsea Town added another six to their impressive total when they hosted North Ferriby Sporting this afternoon. The visitors shocked the league leaders by taking the lead through Dan Parsons inside the first five minutes but Ferriby`s advantage only lasted a few minutes before Dave Larvin equalised and he put the home side in front from the penalty spot ten minutes before completing a first half hat trick to make it 3-1 at half time. Larvin got his fourth of the game before Mark Stathers grabbed a quick double to make it 6-1 and Ferriby got the last goal of the game when Andy Bradley scored. Remarkably the leading scorer throughout the Veterans League Ryan Silvestri failed to score today leaving the heroics to someone else for a change.
