Withernsea moved into promotion contention when they beat Malt Shovel at home by a convincing 6-1 margin. The home side dominated the first half but only had one goal to show for their efforts by half time scored by Mark Wilson. The second half saw them increase their lead though John Dunn before Malt Shovel were dealt three quick blows, first they lost their keeper to injury and then they scored two own goals to see them go 4-0 down.
