Recap

Springhead Highway started well in their home game against Gilberdyke Phoenix at Springhead Avenue and John Masson hit both bar and post before Adam Jackson set up Rich Bootyman-Yates for the first goal to put Springhead in front. They added a second before the break through Martin Lowthorpe. Early in the second half the visitors were awarded a penalty which Stu Bell put away to halve the deficit. The home side soon restored their two goal advantage when Gary Crawforth set up Danny Lyons to make it 3-1. Lowthorpe with his second of the game made it 4-1 before Jackson sealed a man of the match display when laying on the last goal of the match for Bobby Burnett.
