NORTHERN WANDERERS  B  3   SPARTANS  6

In another re-arranged game Northern Wanderers B faced Spartans at Winifred Holtby School desperately looking for that elusive first win of the seson. Unfortunately it was not to be as Spartans won 6-3. The home side started well and they piled the pressure without being able to take their chances and they paid the price as the visitors scored against the run of play and it got worse as they added another three to lead 4-0 at half time. To their credit Northern fought back in the second half and scored three goals of their own through Neil Thompson, Andy Metcalf with a fine 25 yard strike and Nick Scott with a penalty. Matt Tuton 3, Mike Waller 2 and Will Whitley with the Spartans goals.
