DRUM  4  SPARTANS   3

Plenty of goals at Costello on an awful pitch as Drum under new management took on newly promoted Spartans. The visitors opened the scoring early on but Andy Taylor equalised and it was 1-1 at half time. Spartans regained the lead only for Lance Dales to once again level for Drum and going into last ten minutes it was 2-2 before a late flurry of goals saw the home side snatch a last gasp win. Spartans took a 3-2 lead only to be devastated by a two goal salvo from Drum via Taylor`s second of the game before Andy England was the hero with his late winner. Rich Bayley, Iain Lambert and Mike Waller scored for Spartans.
