BRIDLINGTON TOWN ROVERS B   1  AFC WILLERBY C  2

The newly merger Bridlington Town Rovers opened their season with a home game against AFC Willerby C at Gypsey Road. Willerby went ahead after just three minutes  when a long throw into the Brid penalty area caused problems and a defender ended up putting the ball into his own net. After fifteen minutes the hosts levelled courtesy of a superb strike from Jason Coultas which was just rewards as the home side had started strongly. The visitors regained the lead with a majestic header from Kain Edgar before half time. In the second half only some last ditch defending and great saves from their keeper kept Brid in the game as Willerby got on top but there were no further goals.
