SOUTH CAVE  2   MALT SHOVEL SELBY  2

South Cave in their first game of the season took on Malt Shovel Selby at South Hunsley and this was another game which ended all square. Malt Shovel opened the scoring through Chris Harkin but on the half hour the home side equalised when Chris Hunt scored with a 35 yard lob over the Selby keeper. By half time Cave were leading when a great team move was finished off by Kieran Barmby. The visitors started the second half the better of the two sides and they levelled the scores when Harkin converted a penalty. Cave piled on the pressure as they pushed for a winner but a combination of poor choices and some great saves from the visitors keeper prevented any further goals and for the second game in a row Malt Shovel drew 2-2
