MALT SHOVEL SELBY   2  BRIDLINGTON ROVERS  5

Malt Shovel Selby hosted title chasing Bridlington Rovers at Addison Road a week before their cup final appearance. The sides were level at half time at 2-2 but crucially Brid Rovers had a man sent off when they conceded a penalty. The numerical disadvantage did not effect the visitors as they scored three times without reply to run out 5-2 winners but they soon found out that Botanic Fire had pipped them to the title. Scorers for Malt Shovel were Kev Marshall and Kev Taylor.
