SWANLAND A   4  BOTTESFORD TOWN  3

It was first versus third as leaders Swanland hosted Bottesford Town at West Leys Road. The home side enjoyed plenty of early possession but it was Bottesford who opened up a two goal lead after Mike Dempsey put them ahead and then Greg Dent made it 2-0 after twenty minutes and they looked well in control. Andy Bagshaw halved the deficit from the penalty spot but by half time the visitors had restored their two goal advantage after Dent`s second of the game. The second half saw Swanland take control after an even opening to the half, Andy Jacklin made it 2-3 before Chris Spinks levelled things up shortly afterwards. What turned out to be the winner came from Joe Winn ten minutes from time and despite their best efforts Bottesford were unable to grab an equaliser as the hosts held out.
