AFC WILLERBY A  7  SPRINGHEAD HIGHWAY A  1

There was local derby at Wolfreton College as AFC Willerby A entertained Springhead Highway A and what was expected to be a close game turned out not to be the case as the home side won 7-1. Despite a lot of possession chances were few and far between for Willerby who were unable to break the deadlock until the last minute of the first half when Sam Overton scored. Springhead equalised early in the second half through Nathan Nuttall but they fell behind again almost immediately when Kev Hodgson netted. Twenty minutes from time Adam Foster made it 3-1 and then in the last ten minutes Willerby added four more goals against a dispirited visitors outfit. Andy Stott scored twice along with second goals for Hodgson and Foster. This win sees Willerby close the gap on leaders Kingburn to two points.
