LITTLE WEIGHTON  1  BRANDESBURTON  5

Little Weighton took on Brandesburton at Hornsea Town with a 4pm kick off to ensure the game went ahead and it was the league leaders who took the points after a 5-1 win which sees them move eight points clear at the top of the table after what was the only game to be played in Division Six today. After an even opening half hour Brandesburton broke the deadlock through Mark Stathers from outside the box and he added a second long range effort five minutes later to make it 2-0 at half time. Yet another strike from outside the box, this time from Scott Hosey made it 3-0 before Little Weighton pulled a goal back on the hour to give them some hope but they were soon three goals behind again when Simon Jones scored a fourth and in the last minute Robin Newsome rounded off the scoring with a fifth.
