AFC WILLERBY B  4  GIPSYVILLE BOSUN  5

Second placed AFC Willerby B had a great chance to reduce the gap between them and leaders Brandesburton when they took on Gipsyville Bosun in a re-arranged game at Wolfreton College but they went down to a shock defeat in a nine goal thriller. The visitors got off to a dream start being 3-0 up inside the first ten minutes courtesy of some poor defending by Willerby. Just before half time things got even worse for the home side as Bosun scored a fourth although Adam Foster did make it 4-1 at the break. Bosun soon restored their four goal lead early in the second half but Willerby finally got some fluency to their game and a fine diving header from Foster made it 5-2 and when he completed his hat trick for 5-3 it seemed that a miraculous recovery could possibly be on the cards but Bosun steadied the ship and although the home side scored a fourth in the very last minute to leave the final score 4-5. This was the first ever win on the field for Bosun since they joined the Veterans League last season.
