BLACKBURN LEISURE  B  2   PRESTON UNITED  4

In very windy conditions at Brough Blackburn Leisure B and Preston United produced an entertaining affair in which the result was in doubt until late on. Rich Gawthorne and Gary Atkinson put Preston 2-0 ahead at half time and when Gawthorne got his second to make it 3-0 it seemed like game over but Blackies fought back well and goals from Rich Moore and Hewitt made it 2-3 and Preston were in danger of throwing the points away but they secured the win in the last few minutes when Gawthorne completed his hat trick to make it 4-2.
