PRESTON UNITED  5   DRUM  3

Another double header at a neutral venue saw Preston United take on Drum at St Mary`s College. Gary Atkinson put Preston ahead but Drum were soon on level terms. Richard Ward put Preston back in front but once again Drum equalised and it was 2-2 at half time. Both teams went looking for the win and it was Preston who once more went in front through Atkinson. Drum showed great spirit and for a third time they levelled and it was 3-3 with ten minutes to go. Unfortunately for Drum they suffered a couple of injuries and Preston took full advantage as they scored twice late on through Atkinson who completed his hat trick and Wayne Aistrop to give a final score of 5-3. Drum scorers were Andy Taylor with 2 and James Moore.
