WATERLOO  2   SWANFIELD  1

Waterloo had to find an alternative venue for their home game against Swanfield as St Mary`s was unavailable. The game was played at the Steve Prescott Centre and it resulted in a 2-1 win for Waterloo . In an end to end first half Swanfield took the lead after twenty five minutes when Mike Winfield scored with a cushioned left foot volley. Waterloo were awarded a penalty which Swanfield hotly disputed but Paul Cook in the Swanfield goal made an excellent save to preserve their lead into the half time break. Waterloo equalised through Nathan Peat with the whole of the visitors side appealing in vain for offside. Just when the game looked to be ending in a draw, Waterloo were awarded a second penalty and this time it was converted by Glen Kaveney to give them all three points.
