Recap

The top two met as Holme Rovers took on Brigg Town B.  On their journey home Brigg must still be wondering how they managed to get beaten by three goals as they felt they dominated the game and created numerous chances to have won it. Holme Rovers scored first from the penalty spot when Liam Allott was fouled and he scored the penalty but the lead didn`t last long as Gavin Chapman soon had the visitors level. Once more the hosts went in front this time  from Dave Rambo and again it was Chapman who made the scores level at 2-2. In the second half Brigg were guilty of missing several good opportunities and on three separate occasions they were caught on the break by swift counter attacks as they paid the ultimate price for their profligacy in front of goal, the Holme Rovers third goal came from Allott and he completed a fine hat trick when Richard Foster hit the bar and Allott was quickest to respond to make it 4-2. Some good saves from the Holme keeper and solid defending kept Brigg at bay and the final goal came when Rambo put Jimmy Newton in on goal and he finished calmly for 5-2 and as a result of this defeat Brigg now find themselves in third place four points behind Holme Rovers.
