Recap

Swanland and Holme Rovers continued their series of close games as they fought out a 3-3 draw in a pulsating game at West Leys Road. The visitors opened the scoring early on with a well worked goal but Swanland drew level with a fine goal from Carl Murphy before they went ahead courtesy of fine finish from Sam Jagger into the bottom corner. Holme responded in fine style and by half time they were in front 3-2 after a scrambled finish and then an own goal. The second half was as tight and competitive and the only goal of the half came fifteen minutes from time when Swanland were awarded a penalty when Danny Smith was brought down and Mark Platten scored from the spot to make it 3-3. Both sides had chances to win the game but neither were able to do so and the match ended all square which seemed the right result. Although Holme lost their 100% record they remain top of the table.
