NEWLAND  4  SOUTH CAVE  0

There was an eagerly awaited clash at Hull University as third placed Newland took on second in the table South Cave. Newland started much the better of the two sides although Cave nearly opened the scoring against the run of play with a one on one.  The hosts took the lead after a great move and fine finish and could have been further ahead at the break. The same pattern was repeated in the second half with Newland in control and they doubled their advantage ten minutes into the half. Cave gradually improved but as they pushed forward looking to get back into the game they got punished ten minutes from time when Newland got their third and they rounded off a dominant display with a fourth late on. Newland scorers were Louis Overton 2, Nick Johnson and Lewis Johnson.
