DIVISION FOUR CUP SEMI FINALS

HOLME ROVERS  0  PRESTON UNITED  6

A close game was anticipated as Holme Rovers entertained Preston United for a place in the Division Four but it turned out not to be the case as Preston ran out comfortable winners. They led 2-0 at half time after Darrel Thompson and Gary Atkinson scored. It got even worse for Holme as they conceded four more without reply in the second half as Paul Travers and then second goals from Thompson and Atkinson before Chris Bell rounded off the scoring. Having been losing finalists in the Division Five cup last season Preston will fancy their chances of going one better when they face Bridlington Rovers next month.
