NEWLAND  2  MALET 5

Newland were looking for their first points of the season when they entertained Malet at St Mary`s College. Despite an even first half the home side went into half time 4-0 down after defensive errors were punished by the visitors whose finishing was spot on. When Malet made it 5-0 twenty minutes into the second half it looked like it could get really embarrassing for Newland but to their credit they kept going and pulled a couple of goals back through Luke Hanson and Matthew Howard and but for a number of great saves from the Malet keeper they would have scored even more but they paid the price for their first half mistakes.
