Swanland Over 50s vs Brigg Town Over 50s

SWANLAND   1    BRIGG TOWN   2

Swanland and Brigg Town met for the second time in three weeks on a bobbly West Leys Road ground with the strong wind blowing straight down the pitch. This made both sides struggle to play decent football and it was thirty minutes before the deadlock was broken when Lee Sanderson put the home side ahead but by half time Brigg were level through an Allan Tate header. The second half followed the same pattern before with twenty five minutes remaining Simon Mapplethorpe headed home what turned out to be the winner. Brigg now require one more point to clinch the title but that only applies if Blackburn Leisure win all their remaining games.
