Recap

The top two sides met at Wolfreton College as Hanson Electrical B entertained leaders Blackburn Leisure B and an eight goal thriller was the outcome. Blackies opened the scoring on ten minutes and held that until the half hour when James Frederick headed home. The visitors were soon back in front and led 2-1 at the break although Hanson had a great chance to draw level but when they were awarded a penalty it disappeared out of the ground. The second half began with Hanson getting back on level terms with another Fredericks header. Once again the visitors went back in front to lead 3-2 but for the third time Hanson equalised this time through David Shepherd . Then Hanson went in front for the first time at 4-3 on 70 minutes through Kev Hodgson and then they created and subsequently missed several opportunities to put the game to bed and they paid the ultimate price when Blackies equalised in the last minute to make the final score 4-4 and in doing so retaining top spot after a thoroughly entertaining match.
