DIVISION FIVE CUP  QUARTER FINALS

SPARTANS  5  AKK S+S B  3

Two sides who have had disappointing league seasons met at Hull University as Spartans entertained AAK S+S B. They produced eight goals between them with Spartans going through to the semi finals 5-3.  AAK had first use of the wind and opened the scoring on fifteen minutes but Spartans equalised a minute later when Matthew Tuton lobbed the advancing keeper. Tuton scored a carbon copy goal to put Spartans 2-1 ahead at half time. Tuton completed his hat trick for 3-1 before David Aitchison scored the goal of the game with a 25 yard screamer. AAK refused to give up and pulled a couple of goals back to leave it at 4-3 with a few minutes remaining during which time the home side finally made the game safe when Paul Bolton headed home.
