MALT SHOVEL SELBY  1  GILBERDYKE PHOENIX  3

Malt Shovel Selby entertained neighbours Gilberdyke Phoenix looking to complete the double having won the first encounter but it didn`t turn out that way as the visitors made it back to back wins. The visitors opened the scoring mid way through the first half through Dave Stevens but the lead was short lived as Gary Collier drew the home side level. Malt Shovel started the second half the stronger of the two sides but Gilberdyke held firm and midway through the half they broke away and they were awarded a penalty which Dave McMahon duly converted to restore the visitors lead. The home side piled on the pressure looking for another equaliser but late on Gilberdyke broke away again and Phil Escorcio made certain of the points and the bragging rights with a fine finish to make it 3-1.
